ABOUT US
New Life Church is a Foursquare Gospel Church. It was founded in 1999 by Pastors Rick & Pennie Kloos. With an apostolic mandate to the capital city they have continued to persevere in their call.
New Life continues to remain a strong and healthy church that endeavors to be generational in its worship, preaching and overall ministry.
Pastors Rick and Pennie Kloos
In March of 1985 the Kloos' experienced a dramatic “Damascus Road” deliverance and healing. One night’s encounter with the Lord changed their destiny forever. Rick was instantly delivered from many years of drug and alcohol usage, to Pennie receiving supernatural healing. Both experienced the power of God upon conversion and were thrust by the Holy Spirit into a life of service for the Lord.
Sensing an apostolic anointing and having hearts of an evangelist, they immediately began preaching the life changing message of Jesus Christ. In their early Bible college days they traveled the midwest leading evangelistic teams on citywide outreaches then later teamed up with Carl and Betty Malz, former Vice-President of Trinity Bible College.
Having many other ministry opportunities from pastoring to holding tent crusades, along with Rick’s time working as a jail and hospice chaplain, the Kloos' bring years of experience to their current pastorate in Topeka.
Rick and Pennie truly believe God called them to Topeka for "such a time as this" to redig the well of revival. Having hearts of revivalists they await the latter outpouring much like the early 1901 outpouring. They are confident that with God’s call and anointing they will be instrumental in helping lead and pastor a great move of God in these last days.
Rick is currently a licensed Foursquare minister but has had great grace and favor upon him to cross the denominational barriers. His vision much like the founder of the Foursquare Church Aimee Simple McPherson is to be interdenominational.
Worship Leader / Music Director
Whether it's leading worship, playing an instrument, or just hanging out with my church family, It's an extreme honor to simply know the Father and make Him known.
I've been serving as assistant worship leader for three years and church musician for seven years.
In September of 2002, I was delivered from drug and alcohol addiction. God used my Pastors, Chip, and the worship team to minister to me and help me to find the calling and ultimately the destiny that the Father has planned for me.
It is a joy to serve and work with Pastors Rick & Pennie and my music Mentor/Big brother Chip Janda.
In April of 2009 Pastor and Chip handed me the mantle of in house worship leader / Music Director.
I'm joined in this awesome fellowship by my wife of six years Elisia, our two sons Ryker and Kyler and a third child on the hip.
Blessings,
Donnie

Outreach Music Director / Sound & Media Supervisor
Chip Janda has a passion for worship. He describes his guitar as his "third arm". He has a deep desire to see both believers and nonbelievers come to know Christ and to be accepted by the church body "just as they are".
Although he has been used of the Lord as a worship leader in the church for 16 years, he humbly prefers to be called the "lead worshipper."
Chip has a deep desire to understand worship and its attraction for non-Christians. He has a heart to tear down walls that keep both believers and non-believers from meeting God in worship. In the Christian community.
He has enjoyed the influence of such talented artists as: Steve Vai, David Morris, Lincoln Brewster, Darrell Evans, Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman. These talented influences spark his desire for musical excellence and have fanned the flames for prophetic warfare worship.
In his spare time he enjoys playing Christian music in a band with a few, close-knit friends. He lives in Topeka with his wife and three children.
